OC Cosign
Get behind a builder — join as a co-founder, or back them with sats. cosign.ochk.io is a commercial sub-product of OrangeCheck, parallel to me.ochk.io, vault.ochk.io, and chat.ochk.io. It is a warm marketplace where Bitcoiners post what they’re building and what they need — and everyone else can cosign it.
A cosign is a public act of support that actually counts. You can:
- join as a co-founder,
- back a project as a patron (sats settle peer-to-peer), or
- zap a little conviction.
The pitch is one sentence: back the builders you believe in — with your name, your skills, or your sats — and let real conviction be the signal.
What OC Cosign is — and is not
| Not a securities platform | Backing a project is an endorsement and a patron relationship, never the purchase of a regulated security. Founders set their own terms in plain English; OC takes no equity and brokers nothing. |
| No custody | Sats settle peer-to-peer over Lightning, straight to the founder’s own Lightning address. OC is never in the money flow and holds nothing. See Trust & safety. |
| No KYC, no account | Your OrangeCheck identity is the account. Start in seconds with Google, GitHub, or an email one-time code — or sign in with a Bitcoin wallet for full self-custody. One identity either way. |
| Built for everyone | Founders don’t need to be engineers, and backers don’t need to run a node. The Bitcoin identity is the quiet substrate, not an obstacle course. |
The loop
- Post a project — what you’re building, and what you need (a co-founder, capital, or both).
- People cosign it — join, back, or zap.
- You match — a join or a back is a request; when you accept, a private thread opens (double opt-in, both sides in).
- You talk, then build — message in the thread, post updates, and everyone behind the project gets notified.

Crowdfunding, the Bitcoin way
A match is the start, not the end. A project can run a real campaign:
- Block-height funding windows — a goal and a deadline measured in Bitcoin blocks, the one clock no one can game. Momentum is shown in plain language.
- Honest sats — a backing is a pledge until the founder confirms receipt; only settled sats move the goal bar or earn recognition. Nothing is inflated by unconfirmed intent.
- Reward tiers & stretch goals — back at a level for an off-platform, founder-fulfilled reward; settled-sats stretch goals unlock founder commitments and post block-stamped milestones. Never equity, never a return.
- Recognition — backer ordinals and conviction tiers (supporter / patron / champion), earned from settled sats only.
- Back monthly — a standing reminder to send sats yourself; no card, no auto-pull, no balance.
- Signed authorship — a founder can BIP-322-sign the campaign so anyone can verify they wrote it, offline.
- Discovery — a directory with trending / almost-there / closing-soon / just-launched rails and a settled-only activity pulse.
Every signal is settled-sats-only and custody-free — it passes the Ed25519-substitution test by design.
Where it fits in the family
OC Cosign is a product, not a seventh verb. It stands on the same
OrangeCheck identity layer every sibling shares — the cross-subdomain auth host
at ochk.io, one did:oc per person, the same sign-in
ceremony. Proving control of a Bitcoin address (the verified-Bitcoiner upgrade)
is optional and additive — never required to get in.
