Quickstart

Two minutes either way. You sign in once; your OrangeCheck identity is the account.

Go to cosign.ochk.io and choose sign in. Start in seconds with Google, GitHub, or an email one-time code — no password, nothing to create. Already hold a Bitcoin wallet? Sign in with that for full self-custody. It’s the same identity across every .ochk.io product.

If you’re building

  1. Set up your profile — your name and a one-line headline. Add a Lightning address so backing and zaps can settle straight to you.
  2. Post a project at /new — title, the one-line pitch, and crucially what you need (a co-founder, capital, or both). Fill in team, traction, the ask, and your terms in plain English. Optionally run a time-bound campaign (a goal + a block-height deadline), add reward tiers to back at a level, and stretch goals that unlock as settled backing climbs.
  3. Share it. The first cosigns come from your own audience — post the link.
  4. Respond to cosigns from your dashboard. Accept a join or a back to open a private thread; decline the ones that aren’t a fit.
  5. Confirm backings. When a backer sends sats to your Lightning address, mark it received in your dashboard inbox — only confirmed (settled) sats move your goal bar.
  6. Post updates as you make progress — everyone behind you gets notified.

If you’re backing

  1. Browse /projects — search, filter by what a founder needs (co-founder / capital / both), and sort by recent, most backed, or most behind.
  2. Get behind one:
    • join if you want to build it with them,
    • back it as a patron — pay the founder’s Lightning address to settle the sats peer-to-peer, or
    • zap a little conviction.
  3. Match and talk. If you joined or backed, the founder accepts and a private thread opens. Front-load the real questions.

What you never have to do

No KYC. No deposit into OrangeCheck. No equity paperwork on the platform. Sats move wallet-to-wallet; OC holds nothing. See Trust & safety.
